Dear Family:

ON THE OFFICIAL COUNT DOWN ONLY 12 WEEKS LEFT!!!! Can you believe it? I am beginning my final 2 transfers on mission! This is so crazy, I can't even believe it! But don't worry I will make each one count!
Our week this past week has been rather interesting one. On Tues. Sis. Shulz and the new senior couple who are going to Takoradi arrived, they are the Bybee's. So this past week we have been running errands for them to help get them ready. We went bought a new phone for them, went to get the internet for them, etc. We did a lot of driving and a lot of errands but it was a good fun week!
One movie you will have to watch is Pioneers of Africa. It talks about how the church began here and everything. One of the big guys behind the church coming here, Billy Johnson, died not too long ago. He died in the states but last week was his funeral. Unfortunately we were not able to go. But we did see all the people who attended. The Church owes a lot to him and his family!
This past week we also had a funny experience. Here they have a little park that has monkeys, deer, snakes, alligators, etc. We had never been there before but went and checked the price. It is ran by a couple from Holland. They help animals and send them back to the wild. Well this past week we say someone selling a baby deer. We called the people to see if they wanted us to buy it and take it to them so they could help it go back into the wild. They said yes! So Elder Nzuki and I bought the baby deer and took it to them! haha It must have been a funny sight to see two missionaries driving down the road with a a baby deer with them. It was very small and fit in Elder Nzuki's lap. We took it to them and they were thrilled! They thanked us and really admired what we had done. So I would say that we planted a seed. Whenever they show people the deer they will think of the Mormon missionaries! Just kind of a funny story and experience.
Sorry this email is so short today! Until next week! Know that I love you guys and really appreciate everything you do! Only 12 to go:)
Love your son and brother
Elder Ryan S. Alba
